Information on Coalville

Detectives are appealing for information following a burglary at a pub in Packington.

The incident happened at around 4.40am this morning (Tuesday April 28, 2008) when the manager of the Bull and Lion public house on High Street woke to hear noises inside the premises.

He went to investigate and disturbed people inside the premises. One of the offenders threatened him before making off from the pub. No weapons were seen during the incident.

They stole a quantity of cash and other items.

The man is described as around 6ft tall and of stocky build. He was wearing bulky clothing.

Detective Constable Anita Rose, who is investigating the incident, said: "Thankfully the manager was not injured during the incident, but he has been left quite shaken.

"We're interested in hearing from anyone who was in the area at this time and remembers any suspicious activity to please get in touch.

"If you saw these people making off from the scene or know their identity, please contact us.

"Anything that struck you as out of the ordinary, no matter how small it may seem could be crucial so please contact us."
