Information on Coalville

Officers from Coalville CID are appealing for witnesses after a van driver was assaulted and had his vehicle stolen.

The incident happened in Main Street, Snarestone at around 1.40pm on Tuesday, April 29. The 32-year-old victim was pulled out of his vehicle by a man, who then got in and drove down the road where he stopped to pick up another man. They then drove off.

The van is a white Mercedes Sprinter, with the Fedex logo displayed on it.

The first suspect, who pulled the victim from the car, is described as black, around 25-years-old with stubble. He was wearing a navy blue hooded top.

The second suspect is described as white, thin with blond hair and around 17-yers-old.

Detective Constable Mark Tinker, who is investigating the incident said: "We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and saw anything suspicious. Did you see two men matching these descriptions? Do you know who they could be?

"Officers located the van the following evening and we also want to hear from anyone who knows where the van was stored.

"Any information could help us with our enquiries."
