Information on Coalville

Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision in Coalville.

The collision occurred at approximately 1.18am on Saturday August 9, 2008, on London Road, at the junction of Park Road, Coalville, and involved a black BMW318i coupe which was in collision with a wall.

Both the driver of the vehicle, Mr Christopher Alan Smith (29) of Whitwick, and the passenger, Mr Leon Colin Ramsundar (25) of Coalville, received fatal injuries.

PC Simon Horton of the Force's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have seen the car being driven in the Coalville area before the collision occurred to get in touch with me.  The black BMW was quite distinctive in that it had a silver bonnet and nearside front wing."
