Information on Coalville

Community consultation events continue to take place in the Broughton Astley and Walton beat areas of Harborough during September.

Broughton Astley and Walton police beat officers will be holding the drop-in surgeries to listen to and act on the concerns and opinions of local people.

Residents are invited to drop in and meet the officers in the rural beat police bus which will be located centrally in the following villages this month:

  • Thursday 4th September, between 10am and 2pm at Hollybush car park, Ashby Parva
  • Friday, 5th September, between 6pm and 8pm at Hollybush car park, Ashby Parva
  • Monday 8th September, between 10am and 2pm at Village Hall car park, Peatling Parva
  • Tuesday, 9th September, between 6pm and 8pm at Village Hall car park, Peatling Parva

PC 1837 Adam Dewfield and PC 2199 Henry Henderson will be visiting all the villages on the beat with available representatives from the parish and district councils, district council enforcement officers, the Harborough District Neighbourhood Watch Association and Community Speed Watch.

PC Henderson said: "By having the various agencies present, the beat officers hope that a partnership approach to any issues raised by individual residents or the community as a whole can make a difference.

"Whilst in the village we will also be carrying out house to house surveys to gain input from as many residents as possible."

To leave a message for your neighbourhood officer, telephone Leicester (0116) 222 2222 - follow the instructions and when prompted, enter the number 3875.
