Leicestershire Trading Standards is responding to National Consumer Week by letting consumers and businesses know a consumers legal rights when buying goods and services.
Trading Standards Officers will be at Sainsburys in Market Harborough on Wednesday, 16th September; Morrisons in Coalville on Thursday, 17th September, and The Food Hall at Fosse Park on Saturday, 19th September, to talk to shoppers about their rights and hand out information.
During the week the focus in Leicestershire will be on informing consumers of their rights - for example the right to a refund, repair or replacement for faulty or wrongly described goods.
David Bull, Head of Leicestershire County Council Trading Standards, said: Throughout the year we and our partners Consumer Direct provide advice to consumers and traders in Leicestershire, to help disputes to be resolved fairly. We are pleased to be involved in this years National Consumer Week.
