Crossbow taken in burglary
Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary from a shed in the Whitehill Road area of Ellistown, Coalville.
The incident happened sometime between 7pm on Saturday August 22 and 2.30pm on Sunday August 23, 2009, when thieves broke into the shed door.
Various items were stolen, including a high-powered crossbow, worth a substantial amount of money, a patio heater and a cement mixer.
PC Gary Gavin, who is investigating the incident, said: Im keen to speak to anybody who may have been offered a crossbow since this burglary. Its powerful and could be dangerous if not used properly.
If you have seen anybody in the area carrying an item like this or have any information about its whereabouts then please contact me.
We're appealing for anyone who may have any information about this incident or remembers any suspicious activity in the Whitehill Road area between these times to get in touch.
