Police are appealing for three key witnesses to come forward after windows of house in Coalville were smashed.

The incident happened at about 8.10pm yesterday evening (Wednesday December 23), when a man approached the house in Avenue Road.

The man jumped across the fence and hit two of the front windows causing them to shatter.

He then ran to a silver saloon car that was parked in the road and drove off.

It is believed that three people were in the area when the incident happened.

The suspect is described as black, about 50-years-old, around 55 tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a grey hooded top.

PC Sally Holdridge, the officer investigating the incident, said: This was a very frightening experience for the victims who were in the house at the time.

We believe there were three people walking along the road when the incident happened and we would like to appeal to these people to come forward.

It is very likely, if you are one of these people, that you would have witnessed the man smashing the windows and the events leading up to it, so we would urge you to call us.

We would also like anyone else in the area who witnessed the incident to call us. It only happened yesterday evening, December 23, so if you do remember anything get in contact with us as soon as you can while the memories are still fresh in your head.
