Budding poets with a sense of humour can enter a limerick competition at Coalville Library as part of National Poetry Day, with different prizes for adults and children.

A limerick is a funny poem with a good rhythm and a great punch line. An individual or group may enter as many limericks as they like, but a different limerick must be written for each entry.

The competition is free to enter, open to everyone and will run from Friday 8th October 2010, through half term until Friday 22nd October 2010.

Prizes will be three free hires of DVDs for the best entry from those over 16 years and a 10 Amazon voucher for the best entry from children aged 16 and under.
