Officers from North-West Leicestershire are appealing for witnesses after a broken down vehicle was stolen from Coalville.

A black Vauxhall Corsa, registration number P377 TWR, was stolen from Bardon Road, Coalville sometime between 11pm on Saturday December 4 and 11pm on Monday December 6.

The car had been left secure near the roundabout in Bardon Road as it had broken down.

PC Wesley Nelson is investigating the incident, he said: The owner of the vehicle left the car secure when she returned to it on Sunday the drivers side window had been smashed and the stereo had been stolen.

The owner then went to collect the car later and it had been stolen. The car was not driveable and its believed that it may have been towed away or placed on the back of a truck.
