Officers from North-West Leicestershire are appealing for witnesses after two indecency incidents in the area.

Both incidents took place on Wednesday June 22, the first incident occurred at about 12.30pm on a foothpath in Meadow Lane, Coalville when a man approached a 16-year-old girl and exposed himself to her.

The suspect has been described as a white man, in his mid 30s, about 6 tall, of fat build, with short brown hair and clean-shaven. He was wearing a green top which had a white logo on it, jeans and black shoes.

The second incident occurred at about 2.20pm close to the cricket ground in Ashby Road, Thringstone, when a woman in her 20s was approached by a man as she was walking along a footpath with her young child and dog and exposed himself to them.

The suspect from this incident has been described as being white, in his 50s, short, of fat build and clean-shaven. He was wearing a baseball cap, T-shirt and blue and white tracksuit top.

Detective Constable Ian Washington is investigating the incidents, he said: Due to the location of both incidents and the description of the suspects we are linking the incidents and would urge anyone who knows anything about them to contact us.

The incidents were extremely distressing for the victims and we need to catch the person responsible, if you recognise the description or you saw a similar described man in these areas on June 22 then please get in touch.

Any calls received will be treated in confidence and could help us move this investigation forward.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC 1265 Ian Washington on Leicester (0116) 222 2222, follow the instructions to leave a message for a police officer and when prompted key in the officers identification number 1265. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, which is free* and anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
