Win a wedding or a ceremony at an open day

Couples have a chance to win a wedding or civil partnership ceremony, if they attend an open day at one of the county councils register offices.

Leicestershire County Council is staging register office open days at Hinckley (February 25th), Melton (March 3rd) and Loughborough (March 17th), from 10am-4pm.

The events will highlight:

Beautiful traditional and contemporary ceremony rooms, to suit everyones budget

A range of ceremony options, including bridesmaids and relatives giving you away, your own photographer and your own music

A range of other ceremonies, such as renewal of vows and baby naming ceremonies

Diane Reed, registration services manager for the county council, said: This is a great chance for budding couples to meet our staff and see how attractive our latest ceremony rooms are.

Couples who attend these events also have a chance of winning a ceremony in a county council register office.

Its all part of a package of improvements taking place to the councils registration service. The county council is currently working with North West Leicestershire District Council to open a new register office in the district councils HQ in Hotel Street, Coalville, later this year.

Byron Rhodes, cabinet member for property, said: By working with our district council colleagues, we can share offices to provide better facilities at more convenient locations for the public.

This is helping the county council to save 850,000 per year, by having fewer, but better, offices.

For further details, see www.leics.gov.uk/registration, email registration@leics.gov.uk or phone 0116 305 6565.
